Hello! My name is Christine, welcome to my Travel Blog! I’m a Swedish Travel Blogger who travel the world full-time together with my boyfriend Alex.

I’ve been traveling full-time since 2014 and along the way, I’ve knocked off some great adventures from my Bucket List. I love spending time out in nature and I have a great passion for paradise beaches and responsible travel.

I started christineabroad.com to share my passion for traveling and to inspire more people to do the same and get out to explore the world. It doesn’t have to be hard or expensive to travel, and the world isn’t nearly as dangerous as most people think.

Our world is way too beautiful and interesting not to be explored. So follow along, it’s time to explore our beautiful world!

What to expect from me as a travel blogger?

One of the things that are most important for me with my travel blog, is to always stay honest to 100%.

I would never beautify a destination, hotel, or restaurant if I don’t like it, even though I’m attending a press trip, make sponsored posts or ads. You can always be sure that you read my 100% honest experiences and thoughts.

My followers and readers will always be my number 1.

I always try to make my articles and travel guides as structured as possible, which is something I want myself when reading an article.

What kind of destinations do I go to?

I’m an open-minded person, so I always like to travel to new interesting countries and destinations. I love to visit places off the beaten path and make a mix of both cities & nature, as well as budget and luxury.

I love to travel local and meet local people, eat at local restaurants, and just enjoy that side of traveling. I also like to go on more luxurious trips, since it can be quite relaxing to spoil yourself every now and then.

One thing that I especially like when traveling is doing Homestay where you get to stay with a local family in their home, and spend time with them and eat home cooked food. It gives you a really cool and local experience.

How it all started

Before my big life journey, I lived in a rental apartment in central Stockholm. I worked as a cashier in a supermarket with an unbalanced schedule, I bought a lot of expensive food, drinks, and things (mostly clothes) for all the money I earned.

I thought that I needed all that stuff to be happy. I thought that I had to have a glamorous life to be as happy I could be. To go on luxurious vacations and be as fancy as I possibly could be.

Thankfully, I got a wake-up call.

I got tired of my work and the pressure of that everything should be so perfect all the time.

You can say that I got panic, as I lived a life where I wasn’t completely happy. Alex felt the same as me and suggested we should start travel blogging since that’s something he’s been curious about for years.

We both loved to travel, so why not try to make a living out of it?

We saved our money and moved the things we’ve had into our parent’s homes, left the apartment in Stockholm, and moved to Spain. There we began our lives as digital nomads and travel bloggers – in an environment where we both felt motivated and inspired.

Ever since then, I have called the world my ”office,” just because I can.
