During our recent road trip through Europe, Alex and I visited the Czech Republic a couple of days. Our last night in the country we stayed at the beautiful Chateau Mcely, and we had such a great time.
Chateau Mcely is located one hour drive from Prague and is perfect for you who seek relaxation, delicious food, and a romantic atmosphere. Down below you can read more about my experience, and what you can except as a hotel guest at Chateau Mcely.
Room Standard (Luxury Suite)
We stayed in the Southern Seas Suite, which is in the luxury suite category. It was a big and spacious suite with a bathroom, living room area and also a bedroom with comfortable bed and view over the garden.
We felt very comfortable staying in this beautiful suite, and we can’t wait until next time we get to stay a little bit longer.
This is what you get when booking a Luxury Suite:
- Comfortable bed with fluffy pillows and soft sheets
- Livingroom with couch, armchairs, TV, full-body mirror and closet
- Bathroom with bathtub, free toiletries, and hairdryer
- Garden view
- Free water
- Free WiFi
- Daily cleaning
Down in the Theatre Hall, that’s where breakfast is served. The breakfast consist of a buffet and also a couple of other dishes that you can order, like oatmeal, omelet etc. We didn’t have anything from the menu, but we tried almost everything from the breakfast buffet except the meat.
I’m quite picky when it comes to breakfast buffets, but I must say that I really liked this one. They served everything from fresh mozzarella with delicious olive oil and veggies, to granola, scrambled eggs, and smoked salmon.
It was a good and fresh breakfast buffet that you’re longing to each morning.
During our stay, we had dinner at the Chateau down in the theatre hall. It was a romantic dinner with live piano music and lit candles. We had a three-course dinner, and we chose all the vegetarian options.
It was a delicious dinner with great service and a cozy atmosphere. Down below you can see some pictures from our dinner.
Outside the room
Outside the room, you’ll find plenty of things to do. There’s a pool, a sauna, a meditation area, garden, outdoor sitting area, spa, and a restaurant. There are also plenty of things for the kids to do. In the theatre hall where you have breakfast and dinner, there is a whole corner with things for the kids so they can play, and they also have a playground with both swings and a trampoline.
Chateau Mcely Spa
The morning before we had to leave Chateau Mcely and travel to our next destination, but before we left we enjoyed a relaxing massage. Down by the pool they have a treatment room where we both got a foot scrub and full-body massage. I’ve been to quite many spas while traveling, and I must say that this massage was one of the best I’ve had.
So if you decide to spoil yourself and stay at Chateau Mcely, then I can highly recommend the full-body massage.
The staff was both friendly and helpful during our stay. They showed us around the hotel and made sure that we had everything we needed. From the staff at the reception to the waiters, masseuses, and maids – thank you for a great stay!
The WiFi worked great throughout our stay. We tried it up in our suite, down by the reception and also in the restaurant, and it worked like a charm!
