On the island of Kauai, they produce rum. Koala Rum is the first and only distillery on the island and has been open since 2009.
It’s the fresh tropical rainwater and sugar cane that create the flavorful rum. You can buy both white, gold, spice, and dark rum for around 30 to 40 USD for one bottle.
If you want to buy this as a souvenir, make sure to pack it safe into your checked luggage so it won’t break during your flight.

On the islands of Hawaii, you can buy these nuts in the supermarket. You can often find them salted in small cans, caramel glazed, plain, or covered in chocolate.
If you want to buy the chocolate macadamia nuts, then I recommend visiting the store called Hilo Hattie. They have shops on both Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island.

Tropical fruit jams
Delicious fresh fruits are grown on the islands of Hawaii. It grow both mango, bananas, papaya, oranges, and pineapple in Hawaii.
From all of these fruits, the locals produce delicious fruity products.
The jams and jellies are especially popular among the tourists. They can be found at the local stores such as; Walmart, Long’s Drug Stores, and the ABC Stores.

The Ukulele was brought to Hawaii by the Portuguese who came to work in the early 1900s. Even though the ukulele is not originally from the islands, it has still become a symbol of Hawaii.
On the islands of Hawaii, there are several factories that make ukulele’s. The most popular come from Kamaka and Koaloha, which you can find on the island of Oahu.
You can get a good quality ukulele for 500 – 7000 USD. But of course, you can get a much cheaper ukulele in one of the souvenir shops.
