Looking for the best photo spots in Barcelona?

Barcelona is one of the biggest cities in Spain and offers some of the most popular attractions in the country. Barcelona is truly a photographers dream with its beautiful buildings, views, beaches, and cozy neighborhoods.

Down below you can read more about my favorite photo spots in Barcelona:

Bunkers del Carmel

If you’re looking for one of the best views in Barcelona, visit Bunkers del Carmel. It’s a park offering a 360 degrees view of Barcelona, and it’s located just a short metro ride from the city center.

Hop off at the metro station El Carmel or Alfons X. Then you can either walk up or take a bus to the park.

Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia is one of the world’s most famous cathedrals. It’s famous for its beautiful and unique architecture designed by Gaudi – but also for taking such a long time to be completed.

This is probably the most popular photo spot in Barcelona – from the inside and out.

La Barceloneta (Barcelona’s Main Beach)

La Barceloneta is a neighborhood in Barcelona where you can see some cool outdoor art, palm trees, and beach life. Stroll along Passeig Maritim, the beach promenade, and get inspired by the beautiful surroundings as well as the local life!

There are plenty of good photo spots in La Barceloneta, so make sure to bring your camera.

Gothic Quarter

The Gothic Quarter is one of the best photo spots in Barcelona. This neighborhood is full of great photo opportunities with all its narrow alleyways (most car-free), old churches, cafés, and cool shops.

Make sure to take your time in the Gothic Quarter, since there’s so much to see and photograph!

Casa Batllò

Casa Battlò is one of the most famous photo spots in Barcelona due to its beautiful architecture designed by Gaudi.

Make sure to see it from the inside, as well as from the other side of the street – then you’ll be able to fit the whole building in your shot.

NOTE: Go early in the morning if you want a shot without all the cars. During the day, this place can be quite busy – so either go early or be patient and wait out the cars and people!

Parc Güell

This is another famous photo spot in Barcelona that’s been designed by Gaudi. It’s located on one of the hills in Barcelona with a beautiful view of the city.

It’s a great place for photos, especially during sunset.

Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona Cathedral is a beautiful church with its gothic architecture.

Since the more famous church Sagrada Familia is located just around the corner, this church often goes unnoticed – which is such a shame, since it’s a very beautiful church!

Don’t forget to visit the rooftop of the Barcelona Cathedral, from up there you can snap some really cool photos.

Palau de la Música Catalana

Palau de la Música Catalana is a famous concert hall that’s today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s famous for its beautiful colorful interior, and detailed decorations.

When there are no performances at Palau de la Música Catalana it’s possible to go and visit it – which I highly recommend you to do!

Just make sure to bring your camera, since this is one of the best photo spots in Barcelona!

Passeig de Sant Joan, Arc de Triomf

Everyone knows about the Arc de Triomf in Paris, but did you know that Barcelona has one too? – that’s even more beautiful in my opinion!

The Arc de Triomf in Barcelona is so cool with its red brick and beautiful details. It’s a must to visit and photograph when you’re in the city!

Tibidabo Mountain – Outside Barcelona

If you have time to spend a day a little bit outside Barcelona, I can highly recommend you to visit the Tibidabo Mountain.

Everywhere you go in Barcelona, you’ll see the Tibidabo Mountain with its big majestic church and 100 years old amusement park next to it.

This place offers some of the best views of Barcelona, as well as plenty of photo opportunities.
