Looking for the best photo spots in Tokyo? Tokyo is one of my favorite cities in the world, and traveling around is always so much fun.

I love strolling around the streets taking photos in Tokyo. There’s so much to see and so many fun things to do. Down below you hav a list of my favorite photo spots in Tokyo.

Tokyo Plaza Omotesando Harajuku

The entrance to Tokyo Plaza is probably one of the coolest I’ve ever seen. An entrance made like a puzzle of mirrors. It’s very impressive with all the reflections, but note that you have to get here early to get that perfect shot without people.

This is a mall (people in Tokyo love to shop) in one of the most crowded areas in the city, so I think you can figure out the rest.

Sensō-ji Temple – My Favorite among the Top Photo Spots in Tokyo

One of my personal favorite photo spots in Tokyo is the Sensō-ji Temple in Asakusa. A photo here during either sunrise or sunset makes perfect photos. Walk around and see the temple from different angles, there are many great opportunities for photos.

Make also sure to stop by the Nakamise Street, which is another cool photo spot next to the temple.

Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho

This place isn’t only a great place to grab a drink and something to eat, but it’s also one of the most popular spots among photographers in Tokyo.

This is the place to go if you want to capture that authentic shot of Tokyo.

Nezu Shrine

It’s not only Kyoto that has those photogenic tori gates. To be honest, the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto is definitely cooler, but this shrine is still worth your time if you’re not planning to visit Kyoto.

From the right angle, you can capture some amazing shots from this place.

Shibuya Crossing

Shibuya Crossing is the worlds busiest pedestrian crossing surrounded by neon-lit buildings. There are around 1 million people crossing the street at Shibuya Crossing every day. A photogenic place where you can capture amazing photos of one of the busiest spots in Tokyo.

No wonder why this place always appears in ads, promotional photos, music videos, movies and shows.

Kabukicho Street

Kabukicho is an entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Except having lots of fun arcades and is home to the crazy Robot Restaurant, this place is also great for photos.

My favorite spot in Kabukicho is Kabukicho Street, where the Robot Restaurant is located. This street is packed with neon-lit signs and is perfect for those who enjoy night photography.

Takeshita Street

Located in Harajuku, you’ll find Takeshita Street which is the cutest street in Tokyo. On this street, you’ll find everything from pink crepe shops, rainbow cotton candy, anime cafes and stores selling kawaii clothing.

Along this street, you’ll find several cool spots to take photos. Infront of the crepe shops is one of the most popular spots to snap photos.

Komizo Falls

If you’re down for a little road trip, you have to visit Komizo Falls in Chiba Prefecture. This place is located 2 hours away by car and is a must to visit among all nature lovers. This place is simply magical, especially when the light shines down into the cave and hits the water.

Akihabara

Akihabara is the place where you’ll find electronic shops, arcades, maid cafés, manga, neon signs, and all the nerdy anime collectors. This area is full of good photo opportunities if you’re creative and try different angles.

The Soho Odaiba

This colorful workspace in Odaiba is home to 13 floors of colorful office space. This is one of the best photo spots in Tokyo, and a must to visit if you want to brighten up your Instagram feed with some colors.

A tip is to visit during the evening when the building lit up.
