Stonehouse is one of the top olive oil producers in the US, and they have won many awards for their California Extra virgin Olive Oil.

California Wine

If you like wine or know someone who is interested in wine back home, then a bottle of local wine makes a great San Francisco gift.

In Napa and Sonoma, you can take a tour of the wine yards and go wine tasting, and after the tour, you can always buy a bottle or two to bring back home.

Just make sure to pack it well in your suitcase so it won’t break on the flight back home. A tip is to buy a cushioned win bottle holder and pack it tight in-between soft things, such as clothes, in your suitcase.

Fog Vodka – One of the most Unique souvenirs in San Francisco!

There is vodka that’s made of potatoes, wheat, grapes, milk, and honey. But have you ever heard about vodka that’s made of fog?

Yes, you heard right. You can buy vodka that’s made of actual San Francisco fog. It’s called Fog Point and costs 125 USD for a bottle.

The idea behind this vodka was to create something sustainable and local. They put up fog catchers (sheets of mesh) at four spots around the Bay Area, and they make it possible to collect the water drops from the fog. Over six months this vodka company collected enough water from the fog to produce 2400 bottles of vodka.

This is a sustainable souvenir that gives you a taste of San Francisco (literally speaking). Definitely one of the coolest souvenirs in San Francisco!

Buying souvenirs is of course a lot of fun, but it can also be damaging to the local environment. So, with that in mind, don’t buy souvenirs in San Francisco that you will not use or enjoy after the trip.

A lot of people are buying souvenirs in San Francisco to bring home to their relatives and family in order to let them experience the culture, and that’s a great idea. Just make sure that the products you buy aren’t causing any ecological damage.

Buying handmade souvenirs can also help the local communities and show appreciation of their art and culture. Just make sure they’re made under responsible conditions.
