Eat local food
One of my favorite things to do in a new city is to taste the local food. In Jakarta, you can eat lots of delicious dishes in the markets and restaurants. I love the food in Indonesia, where Bakso, Gudeg, Satay Ayam and Nasi Goreng are some of my favorite dishes.

In Jakarta, you will find an incredible number of spas and spa treatments. Take the opportunity to pamper yourself with a traditional Indonesian massage, manicure, pedicure or just relax at on one of the city’s excellent spas. Make a day trip to “Thousand Islands.”
If you want to escape the city for a day or two, then I recommend you to visit “Thousand Islands” – a group of islands that are located on the northern coast of Jakarta. At this place, you will find several islands ready for you to explore. Some islands can be reached 1-3 hours by boat from either Ancol or Muara Angke harbor – which is perfect if you only want to make a day trip!
