Are you looking for some beautiful Santorini beaches? This Greek paradise island offers beaches for everyone.
Here you’ll find family friendly beaches, scenic beaches, remote beaches, beaches with all kinds of amenities, and even a nudist-friendly beach. Here are some of the most beautiful beaches in Santorini:
Table of Contents
Kamari Beach
Kamari is one of the most famous beaches in Santorini that’s both beautiful and easy to get to. It’s a long beach close to the airport that has black sand and beautiful blue waters.
This is one of the beaches in Santorini that have all amenities such as sunbeds, umbrellas, bars, restaurants, and cafés.

Red Beach – One of the most famous beaches in Santorini
The red beach is one of the most famous beaches in Santorini. This is, in my opinion, also one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with its crystal clear waters and red rocks & sand. It’s truly a unique beach that you have to visit when you’re in Santorini.
The Red Beach is very narrow, so during high season (from July to August) you can expect the beach to be packed with tourists. So if you visit Santorini during this time of the year, you have to go early.
Also, note that you have to wear good shoes when walking to this beach since there are many sharp cliffs and rocks. I do not recommend going there in flip-flops.

Perissa Beach
If you’re looking for a beach that’s a little bigger and more organized, then I can recommend the black beach in Perissa. This is a beach of black sand/pebbles, beach beds, umbrellas and it’s close to both restaurants, bars, cafées, and shops.
The beach in Perissa is a great option if you want to do other things than just tanning all day. Here they have activities such as beach volleyball and you can also hang out at one of the beach bars sipping on delicious cocktails or mocktails.

Vlychada Beach
Vlychada, also known as the white beach in Santorini, is another beach that you simply cannot miss during your stay. Vlychada is a beach with white cliff walls that surrounds the black beach with its turquoise water.
At this beach, you have both sunbeds and umbrellas that you can rent during the day, but watersports and restaurants are not something you’ll find here.
If you enjoy taking photos during your vacation I can recommend you to visit the old factory that’s located at the end of Vlychada beach. It’s a fun photo spot for a bit different vacation photos in Santorini!

Perivolos Beach
Perivolos Beach and Perissa Beach is basically the same beach, it’s just that Perissa Beach is located at the end of Perivolos Beach. Here you have black sand, blue waters and all different kinds of amenities.
It’s a great beach for those who want to relax on a sunbed and just enjoy the view with a cooling drink in the hand!

Ammoudi Bay
Even though Ammoudi Bay isn’t a beach, it’s still one of the most popular places to go for a swim in Santorini. Ammoudi Bay is located below Oia and invites its visitors to go for a swim in the crystal clear waters. Here you can also go snorkeling and cliff jumping.

Katharos Beach
Katharos Beach is a stone/pebble beach that’s close to Oia village. The beach consists of black and white pebbles and is surrounded by white cliffs and blue refreshing water.
This is a beautiful beach in Santorini that’s not as crowded as other beaches on the island, which means that you have more space for you and your friends!

Monolithos Beach
Close to the airport, you’ll find Monolithos Beach which is a long and wide beach. Monolithos Beach is a family-friendly beach that has both sunbeds, umbrellas, and restaurants.
Monolithos Beach is also one of the beaches in Santorini that have the softest sand – softer sand you cannot find on the island!

Vourvoulos Beach
If you want to have a calm and relaxing day at the beach I can recommend you to visit Vourvoulos Beach that’s located on the eastern side of Santorini.
Here they have only one restaurant, and you cannot expect that there will be sunbeds and umbrellas available. If you decide to visit this beach I recommend bringing water and snacks, as well as sunscreen!

Koloumbos Beach
A beach that’s a little bit calmer and private is Koloumbos Beach. It’s one of the longest beaches on the island where you will have plenty of space for you and your friends.
There are a couple of bars and cafées at this beach, but I cannot guarantee that they’re open all year round. So it’s good to be prepared with some drinks and snacks when visiting this beach.
NOTE: This is a nudist-friendly beach.
