During our recent trip to Bangkok, Alex and I had the honor to stay at Amari Watergate in central Bangkok. Amari Watergate Bangkok offers great facilities, a perfect location, and good food.
We had a great time at the hotel, and I can definitely see myself staying there again in the future. Down below you can read more about my experience of Amari Watergate in Bangkok!

Room Standard (Executive Club)
We had the Executive Club room during our stay. It was a spacious room with all the things we needed during our stay. The room has a big bathroom with both a tub and a shower, and they also provide you with free toiletries. In the room, we had a big and comfortable bed with fluffy pillows and soft sheets. There were also an armchair, a desk, and a big flatscreen TV.
The best thing about this room was definitely the view. From our room on the 32nd floor, we had an amazing view of central Bangkok. It was so relaxing to lay in bed at night and watch the glimmering lights from the skyscrapers.

Breakfast
For breakfast, we had the option to choose between eating in the executive lounge or in the food gallery with a broader selection of food. The executive lounge isn’t for all guests staying at the hotel, so it’s a more relaxing place to eat breakfast – plus you get a great view from the 31st floor. The breakfast in the lounge was good, with a nice selection of things to both eat and drink.
Our second day we had breakfast in the food gallery. There they had different stations where you could choose between Thai, international, grilled food, fresh fruits, and sweets.
It’s hard to say which one was better, but when it comes to atmosphere and environment, I have to say the lounge. When it comes to the food, I have to say the food gallery since they had more options to choose from.
Outside the room
Amari Watergate offers great facilities for you to use when you’re outside your room. There a gym, a spa, a tropical pool, a café and also the lounge where you can enjoy some free-flowing drinks between 5 and 7.
Staff
The staff was very friendly towards us and gave us the information and help that we needed during our stay. Down in the lobby, you can always ask if you have any questions, and outside the lobby, there are staff to help you get a reliable taxi to your preferred destination in Bangkok.
WiFi
The WiFi worked well in our room and also in the other facilities around the hotel.
Location
The location is ideal if you want to stay central in Bangkok. It lies close to shopping, nightlife, and transportation that takes you to the different attractions around the city.
Summary of my stay at Amari Watergate Bangkok
I’m very satisfied with my stay at Amari Watergate Bangkok. We had a nice and comfortable room with a fantastic view over the city. The breakfast was good with nice options and the facilities around the hotel were a great plus. I especially loved the pool and gym, and the view from the executive lounge wasn’t too bad either.
So with all that said… Yes, I can definitely recommend you to stay at Amari Watergate next time you visit Bangkok. It’s a nice and modern hotel with a great location!
