I must start this review by saying how much I love Racha Island! A lush island with tons of fresh coconuts, beautiful beaches, and great snorkeling. While visiting this island, we stayed at the beautiful Racha Resort and we couldn’t be more happy about our time there. Right in front of the hotel, there’s a paradise beach with probably the softest sand that I’ve ever walked on, turquoise water, and it’s surrounded by cliffs and lush nature.
The hotel itself is also very beautiful, and if you compare it with other resorts/hotels, this place has preserved the nature on the grounds. So everywhere you go you’ll be surrounded by tall palm trees, green grass, tropical flowers and you will probably see a cute lizard or two haha.
I really liked the lush environment, the amazing service, massage treatments, and of course, our beautiful suite. Read more about our stay with Small Luxury Hotels at the beautiful Racha Resort down below!

Room Standard (Spa Pool Suite)
We stayed in a Spa Pool Suite, and we loved it so much! It’s a spacious suite consisting of a living room, bedroom, outdoor terrace, pool and a huge bathroom. You enter the suite via the living room, and there you have two couches, beautiful decor, and a big flat screen TV. From the living room, you can enter both the pool and the bedroom.
The bed in the bedroom is super comfortable with soft sheets and fluffy pillows. Infront of the bed stands a desk, and if you point one of the remote controls towards the desk and press the UP button, the hidden flat screen comes up, which is pretty cool! From the bedroom, you can enter both the outdoor terrace, living room and the bathroom.
The outdoor terrace is very nice with a couch and also a table with chairs where you can enjoy a cup of coffee during the day.
The Spa Pool Suite’s bathroom is very spacious, which is something that I really liked. There was a tub, shower for two (with two shower heads!!), separate toilet, and also two sinks underneath the big mirror! From the bathroom, you can also go out to the private pool.
The pool was probably the best thing about the suite (after the comfortable bed). A beautiful pool with lights in the roof, and along the walls. Next to the pool was an outdoor shower surrounded by lush plants. The pool was nice to cool off in after soaking in the sun for a while, to relax in while switching to jacuzzi mode, or just sitting by at night listening to the sounds from nature and put on the “starry night” lights!

I really liked the breakfast at the Racha Resort. They had a nice selection of foods with everything from yogurt and Thai food to different kinds of juices/smoothies and various styles of eggs. Oh yeah, you even get to have a glass of champagne in the morning at this hotel – just because you can haha!
Outside the room
Outside your room/suite/villa, you’ll find great facilities for you to use. There’s a pool for adults, a pool for kids/families, a spa, a gym, and restaurants where you can enjoy fresh coconuts and some delicious food.
Other from the facilities around the hotel, you can go outside the resort and explore the island. There are a couple of local restaurants around, and also beautiful nature to explore!
The Racha Resort offers various spa treatments for you to choose from. With everything from pedicure and facials to different kinds of massages. During our stay, Alex and I had the traditional Thai Massage, and it was super relaxing. It was a bit rough, but afterward, we felt so relaxed in our bodies.
If you decide to stay at this hotel, then I can highly recommend you to visit the spa!
There are three restaurants at the resort. You have the Earth Café (where you have breakfast) which is a nice place for lunch, the Sunset Beach Restaurant that’s perfect for dinners at sunset, and last but not least, the Fire Grill where you can enjoy Mediterranean food.
We had dinner one night at the Sunset Beach Restaurant and we loved it. The atmosphere was great, and it almost felt like we were in one of those vacation movies with Adam Sandler (like ”Blended”). I was sitting there with a nice dress and a flower in my hair and Alex with his Hawaii shirt, both sipping on fresh coconuts and listening to the sound of the waves and the live music that was playing.
It was a great restaurant that I can recommend you to visit since both the atmosphere and the food was good!
The staff at the Racha Resort are super friendly towards their guests and really make sure that you enjoy your stay. They always smile towards you and say hello, and they give you the best service possible for you to have a nice stay with them.
The WiFi wasn’t perfect in our suite, but since the resort is located on an island away from the mainland, I must say that it was pretty good. It worked better in the spa, breakfast room and also at the restaurants. To be honest, I don’t think it’s a big problem that the WiFi wasn’t 10/10 because you’re on vacation. You should relax and have fun, not be sitting and scrolling through your phone all day. Don’t get me wrong, the WiFi wasn’t bad either, it worked, but could be a bit slow at times.
The Racha Resort has the perfect location on Koh Racha. It’s located right by a beautiful beach with white sand and turquoise water and is surrounded by lush nature with palm trees and tropical flowers. To get to and from the island, and also from the pier to the resort – that’s something you don’t have to worry about. When booking your stay here, they make sure to pick you up by boat at the pier in Phuket, and drive you from the pier at Koh Racha to the resort – so you can just sit back and relax!
