All airlines around the world have their own rules for size and weight of hand luggage and baggage handling. If you are often traveling around the world, it can be a bit tricky to keep track of what applies to each airline company. Although many airlines have similar rules about the size and weight of hand luggage, it can still differ slightly kilograms or centimeters that can cause you expensive additional fees.

This mistake I made once, and it was my own fault as I didn’t check the hand luggage rules of the airline company properly. This small mistake led to a decision of either paying an overweight fee of 50 Euros or leaving my bag behind. Of course, I paid as I needed my luggage, but I did also burn a hole in my wallet as it was an unplanned expenditure.

I don’t want you to make the same mistake as I did, as this can cause a big problem if you have a tight travel budget. To make it relatively easy for everyone, I have made a list of the most popular airlines with information of their limits of size and weight of carry-ons.

Down below you can find shortcuts to the each airline on this list. Just click on the airline that you are traveling with, and it will automatically take you to that particular airline’s rules about hand luggage size and weight. If your particular airline is not included in this list, then make sure to visit their website and check their hand luggage limits.
