When we traveled to Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago, we stayed at Hotel Alexandra in the heart of the city. It’s a beautiful and unique hotel with a big collection of world-famous Danish mid-century vintage furniture and decor. From the reception and the breakfast room to the bedrooms – all the rooms have textiles, wallpapers, furniture and decor that will take you back to the 50’s and 60’s.
Alex and I stayed a total of 2 nights at Hotel Alexandra, and we both loved it. Down below you can read more about our experience!

Room Standard (Double Room de Luxe)
We got the honor to stay in one of their double room de luxe. It was a spacious room with a comfortable bed, couch, desk, and bathroom with both toilet and shower. From the window, we could see Studiestræde and HC Andersens Boulevard. The best thing about the room was the Danish furniture and decor, which is something we have never seen in a hotel before. In the room there where furniture and decor from world-famous designers such as; Finn Juhl, Hans J. Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, Ole Wanscher, Nanna Ditzel, Børge Mogensen. So if you’re into Danish design, you’re going to love this hotel room!

Outside your hotel room, you can relax in the beautiful lobby, have some meals in their dining room and also enjoy something cooling to drink in their outdoor area during the warmer months of the year. Hotel Alexandra offers enough space for you to relax when you don’t want to be out exploring the city!
Staff
When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff. They told us some good information about the hotel and the nearby area, which is something that’s appreciated. They even gave us two ”free drink” coupons, that we could use later on for wine, soft drinks etc.
They were always helpful when we had questions and they said hello every time we walked in our out from the hotel – like it should be at a good hotel!
WiFi
The WiFi worked great throughout our whole stay. We tried it downstairs in the lobby, in the breakfast area and also up in our room on the 2nd floor.
Location
Hotel Alexandra is located in the heart of the city. From here you have walking distance to city hall square, Tivoli, the main shopping street Strøget, Cinemas, museum, galleries, restaurants and much much more.
It’s a convenient location in the city!
Summary of our stay at Hotel Alexandra
We had a great stay at Hotel Alexandra. We really liked our room with the Danish furniture and decor, and also the rest of the design throughout the hotel. The staff was really helpful and friendly (great plus), and the location of the hotel is very convenient if you like to get around by foot in the most central parts.
Can I recommend you to stay at Hotel Alexandra when you visit Copenhagen? Yes, I can definitely do. It’s a really cool/unique hotel that’s not too expensive for such great location in the capital of Denmark.
