When we arrived in Bali, around two weeks ago, we got the honor to stay at the luxurious hotel The Legian Bali in Seminyak. A lovely hotel that offers luxurious villas, beautiful hotel rooms and suites, delicious food and great facilities for you to enjoy during your stay with them.
Alex and I stayed at The Legian Bali for 2 nights, one night in a villa and one night in one of their suites. We had a great and relaxing stay, and it was actually that good, that I’m longing back to stay a couple of nights more.

Room Standard (1-bedroom Villa & Delux Suite)
We spent our first night at the Legian Bali in one of their beautiful villas. The villa was actually the highlight of our stay since it was beautiful, spacious, had a private pool and also an outdoor tub. It was so cozy and comfortable to stay there, and we enjoyed every second of it. The pool was just gorgeous, and so was the outdoor area with dining table, couches, and the outdoor tub. Inside the villa, we had everything that we possibly could need for a perfect stay. We had a mini-bar where everything was complimentary (with chocolates, drinks, and snacks), a coffee machine, a beautiful and comfortable canopy bed, plenty of space to hang out in, and also a lovely bathroom. I loved the robes at the Legian Bali and I also loved that the bathroom was so spacious. Overall, I’m super happy with our stay at the Villa!
Our second night we moved over to one of the Delux Suites which had a wonderful view of the ocean. The suite was very spacious, had a big balcony with a sunbed, chairs, and tables and, of course, a magical view! This place also had a canopy bed, which I think is super cozy to sleep in. The bathroom was just as spacious as the one in the villa, and we also got a complimentary mini-bar with the same things stocked as in the villa.
So which one did I like to stay in the most? Hmm… that’s actually a hard question since I really liked them both. When it comes to comfort and space, I must say that both of them were great and kinda on the same level. The suite had definitely a better view but the villa had a private pool. Personally, I’m a more fan of having a private pool than having a nice view – so I must say that the Villa was my favorite place to stay at the Legian Bali. I really liked them both, but the Villa gave us a more of a luxurious experience, and it was just so private and cozy to stay there.

Breakfast
Our first morning in the Villa, we ordered breakfast so we could have it by the pool. Alex had Nasi Goreng with tempeh and tofu, and I had the Mie Goreng with tempeh and tofu. We also had a fruit platter, coffee, fresh mango and watermelon juice and also one fresh coconut each to drink. Everything was so good, and especially my Mie Goreng – one of the best I’ve ever had!
Our second morning we had breakfast down by the pool in the hotel area. The breakfast was just as good, and I also tried the Mie Goreng to see if there was any difference – it wasn’t, and I was just as happy that morning haha. The best thing about having breakfast at the hotel was that they had a big breakfast buffet, so you had many options to choose from. Most of the Indonesian dishes had meat in it – but they made a special dish with tempeh and tofu just for me, which was very nice of them.
I’m happy with both of our breakfasts at the villa and at the hotel. Everything was delicious and I have no complaints what so ever!
Outside the room
In the Villa area, there are a lobby, restaurant and also a pool for you to relax in. On the other side of the road at the hotel area, you can use several facilities such as a gym, spa, infinity pools, afternoon tea and much more. If you’re staying in a villa, there’s a buggy car that will take you to the hotel anytime you want, which is good if you don’t want to cross the road by yourself.
You can say that the Legian Bali offers all the facilities and things you need to have an amazing stay in Bali!
Afternoon Tea
One thing I really liked about this hotel, was that they offered their guests “afternoon tea” every day between 4-5 pm. It wasn’t really the afternoon tea that I’m used to, but it was still nice of them. They had some snacks and also some coffee and tea that we could enjoy while watching the beautiful view of the ocean. A really nice touch if you ask me!
Staff
The staff was very friendly and helpful towards us. They always smiled and always said hello when passing by. Even though they didn’t have any vegetarian dishes at breakfast, they still made a special dish just for me, which I really appreciated. Some hotels would have said that there’s no vegetarian food available, but this hotel was so service minded and made sure that my breakfast was just as delicious as everyone else’s.
The staff was definitely one of the highlights while staying at The Legian Bali.
WiFi
The WiFi worked great throughout the whole hotel. We tried it in the villa area, at the hotel area, at the gym, down by the pool and also where they had afternoon tea – and it worked like a charm!
Location
The Legian Bali is located right on the beach in Seminyak. From the hotel, you have walking distance to both restaurants, bars, beach clubs, and shops. Since it’s not right in the center of the restaurant and shopping area, it was a quite quiet location, which is great if you need a good night sleep.
Summary of my stay at the Legian Bali
I am, or both Alex and I, are very happy with our stay at The Legian Bali. It’s a beautiful hotel with a great location in lively Seminyak, yet quiet for a relaxed vacation. The hotel itself is beautiful with nice decor and friendly staff that will make sure that your stay at The Legian Bali is the best. You have all the facilities that you could possibly need, and a nice touch was that they offered their guests afternoon tea and free mini-bar every day.
The villas are gorgeous, the hotel rooms are beautiful and the view from the hotel towards the ocean is just magical – especially during sunrise and sunset.
With all that said. Yes, I can definitely recommend you to stay at this beautiful hotel while you’re on vacation in Bali. Here you’ll guarantee to have a relaxed stay with delicious food, comfort, and great service!
