If you’re like me and love simple and beautiful pottery, then you’re going to love the clay pottery in Cappadocia.

In the town of Avanos you can go shopping for these products. They’re made from the red clay that’s found along the Red River, which is one of the longest rivers in Turkey.

Around this town you’ll find several family run potteries where you can see how it’s made and sometimes give it a go yourself.
