Boracay is one beautiful destination in the Philippines. This island is known for its paradise beaches, lush nature, and incredible marine life. I must say, that Boracay lives up to its reputation for being one of the world’s most beautiful islands.

There are many things to do in Boracay. On this island, you’ll find white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and excellent opportunities for those seeking snorkeling and diving – Boracay is a perfect island for adventurers and sun seekers. Whether you’re looking for adventures out at sea, partying the nights away or just to relax on paradise beaches during your whole stay on the island, Boracay offers all that and more!

Are you traveling to Boracay soon? Then this is the perfect article for you.

Here are the top 10 things to do in Boracay:

Visit Puka Beach

If you want to visit one of the more secluded beaches of the island, then I recommend you heading to Puka Beach. Puka Beach has gotten its name after the Puka Shells that lays in the sand on the beach, and it’s also one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Imagine lush nature, crystal clear waters and a secluded paradise vibe – It cannot be better!

To get there, catch a tricycle from Station 1, 2 or 3. From Station 1 it takes approximately 15-20 minutes, and at the beach, you’ll find both drinks and snacks.

One of my favorite things to do in Boracay is to visit this paradise beach!

Go Snorkeling or diving

If you want to go snorkeling or diving during your vacation in the Philippines, then I’ve got great news for you! All around the island you’ll find several companies offering several snorkeling and diving tours. Just walk along White Beach, and you’ll find several companies to choose from.

Most of the companies offer kind of the same tours with reefs, colorful fishes, caves, shipwrecks and also underwater tunnels – but still, make sure to compare between the companies to find the lowest price and best tour.

Explore White Beach

White Beach is the main attraction of Boracay, and without this long white and sandy beach, Boracay wouldn’t be such a famous tourist destination today. It’s thanks to its white sand and crystal clear waters that White Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, and also in the world.

Today, White Beach isn’t the secluded paradise beach that it once was – nowadays it’s devoted to tourists. But, don’t let that stop you from coming here since the water, sand and palm trees are just as crystal clear, white and lush as they’ve always been.

Also! If you like the hustle and bustle, then you’re going to love this place. From station one, all the way to station 3, the paraws and boats are lined up along the shore offering fun activities all day long. And along the famous boardwalk, you’ll find several restaurants, cool bars, and shops selling everything from souvenirs to clothes.

 Go Paraw Sailing

A paraw is an outrigger boat with two sails, and these you’ll find all over Boracay. Beach hopping is best done by renting one of these paraw’s since it will take you to the best sites and attractions around the island. Book a boat, hop on, take control over it and sail towards a day full of fun adventures! Renting these boats is especially popular during sunset, which is both romantic and magical!

Definitely one of the top things to do in Boracay!

Dance the night away

If you’re coming to Boracay to party, then you’re going to love this island. I must say that Boracay doesn’t disappoint when it comes to a lively nightlife.

When it gets dark, station two on White Beach turns into a great outdoor club with an awesome party vibe. Go to the beach early and watch the sunset with a beer in your hand, then go to one of the bars along the beach, have a drink (or five) and then dance the night away!

Enjoy the tranquility of Ilig-Iligan Beach

If you’re looking for that secluded beach with plenty of space for you and your friends or family, then Ilig-Iligan Beach is perfect for you. This is one of those beaches that’s not that popular among tourists since it lies a bit off the tourist path.

To get here, you have to drive by car, rent a tricycle or walk from Puka Beach. I can promise you that it’s well worth the effort since this is one of the best beaches on the island. Come here and snorkel, enjoy the tranquility and watch the beautiful view of the limestone islets outside the beach.

I also want to raise a warning finger for the persons that offer boat rides to the famous Lapuz-Lapuz Beach. This beach is forbidden to visit unless you’re a guest at the hotel that owns the beach. These persons try to convince you that it’s OK to go there by boat, but don’t trust them. It’s a private beach, and if you go there, they’ll throw you out.

Do some water activities

All around the island, you’ll find plenty of water activities varying from windsurfing, fly fishing, diving, snorkeling, parasailing and paddle boarding. You’ll find several of these activities at White Beach, the best place for a day of endless fun!

The price always varies depending on what you want to do, but for example, Parasailing cost from P750 – P2500, paddle boarding from P300 – P500 per hour and fly fishing from P550 – P600 per person!

Watch the sunset

There are many nice things to do in Boracay for free, and enjoying the sunset from one of Boracay’s beaches is one of those free activities. I recommend you watching the sunset from White Beach where you can see the silhouette from the passing paraw boats sailing towards the horizon.

Even though the sunsets are magical on Boracay, also make sure to see the sunrise. The sunrises are just as beautiful as the sunsets, and it’s also an excellent way to start your day and enjoy a less crowded White Beach!

Spend your day at Diwini Beach

One of the top things to do in Boracay is to visit Diwini Beach, that’s one of the coziest beaches on the island. Diwini Beach offers a beautiful environment and excellent spots for you and your friends/family to watch the sunset. At this beach, one can easily spend a whole day just to relax, eat delicious meals and sip of refreshing drinks.

I recommend you to visit the lounge bar/restaurants called Spider House – a great place with a relaxed paradise vibe.

Visit Mount Luho

Do you want to best view of the island? Then you have to visit Mount Luho. From here you get a fantastic view of the island with its turquoise waters and lush green nature.

To get to Mount Luho, you have to either rent a tricycle (around 100-200 PHP one way) or get some exercise and hike to the top of the mountain. When you’ve reached the top, you have to pay 120 PHP to enter the viewpoint. From this viewpoint, you get excellent views of Boracay, including the Bulabog Beach where you can see the island’s kite surfers!
